According to Yusuf and Bello (2023), food photography not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of local cuisine but also boosts tourism and economic development. Social media platforms have further amplified the reach of food photography, enabling local cuisines to gain recognition beyond their immediate communities. However, challenges such as lack of professional photographers, inadequate marketing strategies, and cultural stereotypes hinder the effective promotion of local cuisine in Ganye. This study explores the role of photography in promoting local cuisine, focusing on its impact on cultural identity and economic development.
